Is it winter already? (wish list)

So here I am, siting in the floor right besides the fire place, wearing the warmer shoks that I could find and drinking hot chocolate. Outside is around 8 degrades and it seems like it's gonna be a cold nigth. My host mum already knows that I will need one more blanket for tonight. Is it winter already?
This makes me think about all the winter clothes that I will like to buy. So here it goes a summary of my exrtensive wish list.

Hat maniac.

I have to admit that hats are my obsesion (also shoes, sweaters and now also, the color green). So I'm so happy of living this year in the third coldest capital of the world.

And obviously I need a box for all of them

By the moment I just have for but I'm totally sure that I will buy more this winter.

 I've been already checking out the malls around here and OMG. This is just so different from Victoria. First of all here we have more than 2 malls and they are BIG.  So I already know what I will be doing in two or three months from now, when everything is snowed and cold. 

I'm also getting ready for my trip to Toronto and Niagara Falls next friday. I'm so excited for that. I will tell you more about this next week.

I don't really have that much time to look on internet the new trends but everytime I can I go into Lookbook.nu and there I've seen one of them: The degrade hair.

I only have one week left here in Victoria and I just can think nooooooooooo :(  I guess I should start packing stuff  and stop buying because by suitcases are not THAT big. And I still have a lot of things to write about Victoria! I can't leave this early! 

PROM, PROM, PROM.

Saturday afternoon: Excitement, makeup, nail polish and hairspray.

Saturday night: Lots of people, dresses and fancy cars at the entrance. Inside even more people, lots of food, drinks, ice-cream, candies, DJ's, dance floor, a rock band, karaoke.

Saturday night (later): lots of  laughing and dancing, pain in the feet. Fortunately I had some flats in my purse.

Saturday night (even later) : less people but still quite a lot, a photo booth and lots of pictures.

Saturday night (way more later): Prom is over and outside is really cold. (this is Canada; what did you expect? )

Grad.

This weekend had been quite simple. Shopping for the last things for prom on Saturday and beach on Sunday. You can't even imagine how red is my back right now. I have a huge sun burn since Sunday which sucks because my prom dress is strapless and I was thinking about wear my hair up. I guess I will have to look for a new hairstyle now.
Monday we had the International Student Graduation and this is the outfit that I chose. The shorts are from Forever XXI and so is the T-shirt (yes, it is the same that I wore to the Spring Dance). The denim jacket is vintage and actually I didn't wear it because it was way to warm.

I have a lot of things to talk about but I don't really have that much time. My final exams are in just one week! But I promise I will post as often as I can.

Let's dance the last dance.

I haven't been posting so often, I know. And in the last two weeks I've been doing things that kind of remind me to different fashion issues. So here is one of them:

The last week, in Thursday, I had the spring dance (the last dance) at my high school. I had no idea of what to wear and I couldn't buy anything new because this month I have no much money left. So I resolve my problem with a Hollister skirt and jacket, a Forever XXI T-shirt, tights and flats. Some of the girls were wearing heels but I prefer not to wear them since I only have ones and they are for Prom.  So here is the result of my mix:

I'm quite happy with the result. It looks so springlike and it was so comfy!  But I think that another girl was wearing something that looked similar, or maybe she had curly hair too, because two different people thought that I was other girl.

So what about you guys? Are you also getting ready for the summer?

How to dress depending of what you are gonna buy.

It had been a really long time since the last time I posted!  The weather is nicer and now I don't really expend time at home; but today I'm sick so I have a lot of time to post.

Yesterday I went shopping for a prom dress. I was wearing my Dr Marteens and I realized how tiring is to put them off every time I had to try a dress. So I decided to make a post about the importance of wear comfortable clothes depending of what you are gonna buy.

If you are going to a street market the best is to wear a skirt and a bikini because most of the times they don't have fitting rooms. This way you can try the cloths before you buy them.

If you are looking for shoes you should wear shoes easy to put off. The kind of shoes depends of the kind of shoes that you are gonna buy: if they are gonna need socks then you should wear Converse or if they don't need socks then you should wear flats.

And finally, if you are looking for a dress, the best thing you can wear is a comfy skirt and flats. Seriously, wear Dr Marteens is the worst thing you can ever do when looking for a dress.

Earth's Day.

Today it almost looks like Spring. It's sunny and it is not raining! I had only half of the day at school so I expended my afternoon and almost all the evening in a lake and laying in the grass. When I was coming back home through a forest, I stopped to pick up some yellow flowers. So it was the perfect Earth's Day!

All this thing of the Earth's Day reminds me to another trend of this season. Well, actually I think it had always been a trend. The hippie/boho style. So, one of my favorite inspirations for this style, in this season is Isabel Marant: my totally favorite designer.

I like the flowers, the ruffles, the laces... But I think the boots in summer are not so useful. I mean, in summer I  use  to wear sandals or flats; but boots? No thanks.  And I also miss some details in the hair. Maybe a braid or a flower. Anyway, I love this trend so, I hope all of you enjoy it this Spring!

I love the cute punk of this season.

Leather jackets, crazy hair, cute tights, rings and, obviously, Dr Martens. This are the garments that you may need to follow one of the trend of this season: the classic punk.  

But, in my opinion it looks so much nicer if you mix it with sweet garments like a pink leather jacket or a tulle skirt. ( to see the post about tulle skirts click here). This way you don't look like the worse girl of the school.

Chaquetas de cuero, pelo a lo loco, medias monas, anillos y, por supusto, Dr Martens. Estas son la prendas que puedes necesitar si quieres segui una de las tendencias de la temporada: el clasico punk.

Pero, en mi opinion, queda mucho mejor si lo mezclas con prendas mas dulces como una chaqueta de cuero rosa o una falda de tul (para ver la entrada de faldas de tul pincha aqui). De esta manera no pareceras la mas malota de la escuela.

Vintage clothing: Shoes.

I had to divide into two the post about the vintage clothing because I took so many pictures. So here it is the second part.
I'm totally in love with the vintage shoes. They are just so beautiful and different. But the bad part is that there is only a pair of shoes per design and only one size. And that sucks so much! Yesterday I found some beautiful Michael Kors but they were to sizes smaller of what I need. So I came back home without new shoes but with a beautiful new scarf that I'll show you soon.

In just two days my Spring Break will start so this is being a quite relaxed week. I'm trying to study everything that I can this week because the next week is going to be impossible; but I'm so excited because my mom is coming and we are going to Seattle. So, I started searching trendy shops in Seattle, but, at the same time I was kind of studying ( because I start feeling like I was going to have so much work to do after the Spring Break) so, I ended up imaging Hitler with tights and a cute dress, which was a little bit traumatic. I hope I won't have any nightmare tonight.
Anyway, the important thing is that I realized that I'm tired of my black tights and that I want  a pair of different ones that any of my friends has. So, I started searching on internet and I found some ones with hearts and also some bloggers, it-girls etc. wearing them. And they look so cute!

En dos dias empiezan mis vacaciones de Primavera asi que esta es una semana bastante relajada. Estoy intentando estudiar todo lo que puedo porque la semana que viene va a ser imposible; pero estoy demasiado nerviosa ( mi madre viene a verme y vamos a pasar unos dias en Seattle) Asi que empece a buscar tiendas a las que ir en Seattle y, mientras tanto, estaba estudiando ( porque si no voy a tener mucho que hacer despues de las vacaciones). Asi que, he terminado imaginandome a Hitler con medias y vestido; lo que es algo traumatico. Espero no tener pesadillas esta noche.

De todos modos, lo importante es que me he dado cuenta de lo cansada que estoy de mis medias negras y que quiero unas diferentes que no tenga ninguna de mis amigas. Asi que buscando en internet he encontrado unas con corazones y algunas bloggers, it-girls, fashionistas etc. llevandolas y quedan monisimas!
